We are all aware that it’s wise to put our health and wellbeing at the top of our “to-do” list. It sounds like a very achievable goal to fit into our busy lives and yet, for many of us, looking after our health gets thrown onto the dreaded back burner.
Health and wellbeing-focused startups are becoming more prevalent, as business owners recognise that the buzzwords “health and wellbeing” are now fully integrated into our vocabulary. It impacts all of us in a variety of ways. These days, it would be quite rare to meet a person who wasn’t at least trying to improve their health, in one way or another.
Studies show maintaining a healthy lifestyle can help prevent mental health issues, including depression and anxiety. If you’re able to bring more healthy habits into your life – daily exercise, and eating healthy food – the experts say you’ll notice multiple aspects of your life beginning to improve.
Startups focusing on better health and wellbeing are playing an important role in helping people set time aside to really take care of themselves. It might be as simple as learning a new skill that helps you relax, or changing eating habits – even something as simple as making sure you go to bed an hour earlier every night can have a major impact on how you feel the following day.
Fishburners knows all about the fantastic work startups are putting into helping people take charge of their health and wellbeing. It’s time for us to highlight those passionate and ambitious founders with our Tech for Good awards.
The Better Health and Wellbeing Award recognises a startup which uses tech-enabled solutions to help people improve their lives. This award recipient will receive $5,000 to use toward their startup.
The Tech for Good Awards, Better Health and Wellbeing Award, recognises, promotes, and rewards startups creating solutions to the problems many of us face when it comes to our overall health – solutions that improve our mental wellbeing as well as work towards improving our physical health.
We are thrilled to work with our partners and the startup community to accelerate innovations in Better Health and Wellbeing; and we’re currently looking for a sponsor for this particular award.
It’s time to celebrate the fantastic work of the startups who are putting so much time and passion into helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
Entries will need to demonstrate ideas enabled by technology that is intended to change the world by positively impacting people and the planet across 7 categories:
