Sydpro is the expert team specialising in outsourcing staff operations for Australian startups and small to medium business enterprises.
Founded in 2014 by Hansa Wijayasundara and Ian Joffe, Sydpro was built out of recognition of the challenges Australian businesses face when trying to access the right talent for their needs.
Sydpro services are designed to lower overhead costs as well as enhance efficiency, productivity and sustainability of hired talent, by connecting the best people with opportunities to do great work.
The Sydney-based startup manages everything from recruitment, pre-screening, on-boarding, remote office setups, quality control to the ongoing wellbeing of overseas hired talent, including offering access to their satellite office in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Sydpro’s Chief Operating Officer, Gihan Wijayasekara said, “We know that accessing and securing the top 1% of talent who will help your business stand out in the international market is a difficult task. Especially if you are trying to recruit in foreign countries without prior knowledge or connections. That’s why our in-house recruitment team works really closely with top international business communities, and knows how to bring in and nurture the right candidates for the right roles.“
Sydpro started 6 years ago with one remote employee and has now grown to manage over 80 staff working across software development, mobile app development, telco network engineering, outbound & inbound contacting, digital marketing, graphic designing, virtual assisting, and other support finance and administrational roles.
With nearly a third of Australians now working from home over the last few months since the COVID-19 pandemic shut down large parts of the Australian economy and gathering spaces, the idea of remote working has now become more normalised across most industries and accessing the remote onshore staff would allow them to increase their financial sustainability.
Sydpro’s Brand & Growth Strategist, Mano Jay said, “We have found a need for our next focus to be working really closely with Australian startup & angel business communities to embrace the new and rising norm of remote staff operations at offshore locations. The Fishburners community helps us to get connected with various business leaders, venture programs and helps us network with the Australian startup community directly.
