Board Room Terms & Conditions

By booking a Board Room at Fishburners, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Facilities & Equipment

We reserve the right to charge an additional cleaning fee if any excessive mess or damage is left behind after an event. The fee will be based on the extent of cleaning required and charged to the responsible party.

If any equipment, furniture or facilities are broken, damaged or stolen, the event host will incur the cost of fixing or replacing the item.

Fishburners (Fishburners Limited, ABN 32 152 773 647) does not take responsibility for your equipment if left in the space.

Fishburners reserves the right to move your event to an alternative space if needed.

AV equipment is included in the event space hire and we check it to make sure it works for your event. If we discover that the AV setup has been changed without our knowledge, charges may apply for an AV technician to fix the AV system for the next event.

Staff

Our staff is here to assist you with the AV during business hours.

Your setup will be done before the event as per the events organiser’s request. Any changes that need to be done during the event are up to the organiser.

Entering & Exiting the Building

Access to Fishburners event space is via Sydney Startup Hub entrance on York Street: Fishburners Level 2-3, 11-31 York Street, 2000, NSW.

Pick ups and/or drop offs for deliveries and catering that require vehicle access can be scheduled at least 24 hours before your event through the building’s loading dock. Full instructions are provided once access is approved but simply entered on York Lane entering through Clarence Street.

Insurance

Fishburners has insurance that will cover any incidentals during your event that were caused by Fishburners property. Please note that we encourage all events to take out their own public liability insurance to cover any injury or property damage incidentals caused by the event itself.

Examples of where this might apply:

  • An attendee damaging Fishburners property and/or Regent’s Theatre lobby, foyers and lifts at either of these addresses.
  • An attendee getting sick from the food at your event.
  • An attendee injuring themselves from acting recklessly, and/or under the influence of alcohol at either of these addresses.

External Sponsorship

Event hosts must not remove, turn off, or move any sponsor signage. You may display your own supporters’ banners and logos alongside. It is the responsibility of the event host to inform Fishburners of whom their sponsors are and if they are competitors of our sponsors. We require all event hosts to respect our sponsorship promotion and not to interfere with our sponsors logos on the TV’s (do not at any times turn off the TV’s).

Cancellation Period

Once a boardroom reservation is confirmed, it is considered non-refundable. We do not provide refunds for canceled bookings. We offer the flexibility to reschedule your booking one time, provided you give us at least 24 hours’ notice before the originally scheduled booking time.

To request a reschedule booking, please reach out to our reservations team on [email protected] . We will do our best to accommodate your rescheduling request based on availability.
