PET OWNER POLICY

Purpose and Application

Fishburners welcomes pets at the Premises where permitted. This Pet Owner Policy sets out the conditions that apply when you bring a pet into the Premises.

The “Premises” means the Fishburners locations at 477 Pitt Street, Haymarket, Sydney and 64 York Street, Sydney.

Pet access is subject to approval by the relevant building owner or operator (including ISPT and/or WeWork where applicable). Not all locations may be pet-friendly at all times. If the building owner or operator changes its pet policy or imposes additional requirements, this Policy is automatically amended to reflect those requirements.

Any undefined terms in this Policy have the meaning given in the Fishburners Customer Terms and Conditions.


  1. Permitted Pets 

Where the Premises is designated as pet-friendly:

  1. Well-behaved dogs are generally permitted.


Fishburners reserve the right to approve or refuse any pet at its discretion.

  1. Registered Service Animals

Registered service animals are permitted in all Fishburners Premises, including locations that are not designated as pet friendly, subject to applicable local legislation. Fishburners may request reasonable evidence confirming animal service status in accordance with applicable law.

  1. Pet Eligibility Requirements

    Before bringing a pet into the Premises, you must ensure that:

  1. your pet is well-behaved, socialised and non-aggressive;

  2. your pet does not bark excessively, create a nuisance, or pose a risk to others;

  3. your pet is toilet trained;

  4. your pet is clean, appropriately groomed and free from parasites;

  5. your pet is up to date with vaccinations and complies with all applicable local laws and registration requirements; and

  6. you can provide evidence of vaccination or regulatory compliance upon request.

Fishburners may request updated evidence of vaccination or compliance at any time.

  1. Pet-free zones


Pets are not allowed in the following pet-free zones:

  1. Community kitchens, tea points and lounges

  2. Specialist rooms such as first-aid rooms, parents and prayer rooms. 

  1. Customer obligations

If you bring a pet into the Premises, you must:

  1. ensure your pet is under your control at all times and accompanied by you;

  2. not leave your pet unattended or overnight at the Premises;

  3. keep your pet on a leash or otherwise effectively restrained in all common areas;

  4. ensure your pet does not enter restricted or designated pet-free zones;

  5. immediately clean and properly sanitise any mess caused by your pet;

  6. notify Fishburners immediately of any incident involving injury, damage or behavioural concerns;

  7. comply with any additional rules imposed by building management or the property owner; and

  8. ensure your employees, contractors, Guests and visitors are aware of and comply with this Policy.


Note that any professional cleaning required due to pet-related damage or inadequate cleaning may be charged to you.

  1. Bookings and Capacity


Prior to bringing your pet into the Premises, you must register your pet’s attendance by completing an Online Request Form in advance. 

Customers should be aware that limits apply to the number of pets permitted on the Premises at any one time. Where requests exceed the applicable limit on a particular day, priority will be given in order of booking, and the most recent request(s) exceeding the limit will not be approved. Fishburners will administer and manage these limits through the booking system.

  1. Fishburners’ Rights

Fishburners may, at its discretion:

  1. refuse, restrict or revoke approval for any pet or Customer to bring a pet into the Premises;

  2. impose additional conditions or trial periods;

  3. immediately require removal of a pet from the Premises;

  4. update or amend this Policy; and

  5. restrict pet access where required by building management or safety concerns.

Fishburners accepts no liability for injury to or loss of any pet.

  1. Liability and Indemnity


You are solely responsible for your pet. You unconditionally agree to; 

  1. accept full liability for any injury, damage, loss, claim or expense arising from or related to your pet;

  2. indemnify and hold harmless Fishburners from any claim, liability, loss, damage or expense (including legal costs) arising directly or indirectly from your pet’s presence at the Premises; and

  3. compensate Fishburners for any property damage or additional costs caused by your pet.


Fishburners will not be liable for any injury to, illness of, or loss of your pet.
