HutoPa is the maker of Argentinenan inspired lightweight canvas shoes called Alpargatas.

Alpargatas derives from the French “espadrille” that travelled to Argentina in the early XIXth century, brought by settlers from the Basque country.

The shoes have recently become very popular in Europe and now are worn by “Gauchos” in the pampas as well as fashionistas in Buenos Aires. Nicolas is working on spreading this fashionable summer shoe in Australia .
